Nyx/Lacey Pups
This is the litter we had been waiting for ! Born 11/20/06
10 days old , nursing and in their "milk drunk" state afterwards
We had been working towards mating Nyx and Lacey for a couple of years. Their Championships, Canine Good Citizen tests, health certifications and development have had this litter as a goal. We had great expectations, and we are extremely pleased.

Got Milk ???
Lacey was on a special diet since she came into season. She whelped the puppies naturally and fed them within minutes of each birth. Lacey appears to have found her calling with being a mother. Her milk was more than abundant. She ate a special diet 10 meals a day the first 1-2 weeks and slowed down her feedings as the puppies spaced out their feedings. The raw meat, liver, and supplements kept Lacey looking her best during the tremendous drain on her system by the feeding. Outside of her sagging feeding stations, Lacey looks like she could walk into a show ring and take the purple ribbon, even with this crew working on her ! (at 4 weeks old)

We started stimulation exercises with them at 1 week old. We started litter box training them at 3 weeks old. They pee in the litter box 95% of the time and not one puppy has pooped outside of the litter box since they were 3 weeks old. Below they are 3 weeks old using the litter box at the end of their puppy box.
I took pictures of many of them at 4 weeks old:
Blaze at 4 weeks old

Kaid and Coco at 4 weeks old

Brisco and Lucy at 4 weeks old

And Logan at 5 weeks
(yes, these two red brindles can produce some outstanding red dogs !)

Blaze at 5 weeks
Maggie at 5 weeks

Brisco and Kaid, at 6 weeks

Logan and Lucy, at 6 weeks
We started socializing the pups at 3 weeks old and began introducing new objects to their box at about 5 weeks old. They enjoy exploring the new obstacles and toys .

And sometimes they just like to get used to the objects very slowly
Blaze at 10 weeks and Brisco at 11 weeks in his new Texas digs
They are all at their permanent homes, including Lucy in Brazil with Nyx's breeders, Katia and Davi Tarraga of Hillsborough Bullmastiffs!

Blaze and Lucy at 13 weeks (2/ 2007)
Pearl is a singleton puppy from our November 2007 Nyx/Lacey litter. She is high drive and a lot of fun. She is a loving girl and growing nicely. Pearl is very hard bodied, always alert and on duty. She is well muscled and has a short back and huge rear. She is the only puppy Nyx has sired that needed ears to be taped, and because we thought they would lay right eventually, we did not tape them.

(at 2 months)
(and 2 years)

I have started individual pages for the pups that started showing.
